They'll vote against bills that would pass the kinds of border policies they want if the bills are introduced by dems, and then if it manages to pass anyway, they'll take credit for a bill they actively voted against.
Because at this point, it's more important to them to make Biden and the democrats look bad than it is to make any progress in any direction on any issue.
(Edit: just so we're on the same page, the only reason I bring up border issues specifically is because I remember hearing about some republican praising some border bill that passed, after they specifically voted against it. I don't recall many specific details beyond that)
Yes Republicans do that, but in your edit I think you're referring to an infrastructure bill that passed that Republicans voted against, but it passed anyway, and then praised about.
When a Republican refers to another Republican as a "RINO" I just automatically assume the "RINO" is a decent human being.
