That's it, that's the post. The dude is washed and was a massive liability, to the point he single-handedly had a huge role in why the Rangers lost this series. This isn't a scapegoat post, there were a ton of other reasons why we lost like Zibby no-showing, but those can be addressed in other posts.

I don't care how quickly this is going up after the loss, next year is the last year we've got with the current core before huge decisions need to be made. We have 10 million to resign Kaapo, Lindgren, and Schneider, as well as address on ice issues like centre depth and right wing. The year after? Shesty and Laffy raises come do. The cap rising a little won't be enough to foot that bill.

Even if we have to buy him out, the 4 million saved could seriously help. Trouba needs to go. Full stop.

Simply cannot beat teams like Florida when your best scorers decide to take 6 games off in a row. Games we lost by 1 or 2.....imagine if these 3 did what they were paid to do? I get that people are emotionally attached to kreider I like him too but it's ok to call a spade a spade sometimes

… but I am proud of this team. I look back on one hell of a season and can be proud of what these boys accomplished. This team is more than just a hockey team to me. Watching them has helped me get through a lot of personal battles and I will forever be grateful my New York Rangers.

Lots of (rightful) negativity on this sub right now, and I’ve said my fair share, but wanted to share some positivity for the guys who tried.

13 - Happy Rangers got him a bridge deal this off season and it seems to finally be blooming. I think he will continue to develop and be a star of our future.

16 - Clearly our best center in the playoffs. Wouldn’t have made it this far without him and showed great leadership through the playoffs.

31 - Incredible playoffs. He stood on his head and it’s a shame the guys couldn’t put up for him.

21 - Barclay put up big when we needed him. I’ve never been a fan of how much we pay him, but he grinds for the hardest parts of the game and kept our hopes alive when we needed them most.

(Hot take) 20 - this guy cares more about “the team” than anyone else. He’s going to be the one who beats himself up the most over his performance this series (much more so than “the captain”).

To the people in here constantly trying to console the normal feelings of watching the team constantly let you down.

If you don't like it, don't comment with your garbage about "at least we did this at least we did that," or "Why are you guys shitting on players" ... Everyone that is shitting on certain players is almost certainly right. We're tired of seeing the same shit year after year.

If how you cope is positive, fine. But don't be complaining about people who have every right to be upset because the team constantly lets them down. Especially after losses like that. We are the laughing stock of the NHL and we are upset. Deal with it.
